Schooling at the Haberdashers’ Aske’s School. Qualified from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, 1993. House jobs Royal Free and Lister Hospitals. Demonstrator in Anatomy Leeds University. Basic Surgical Training at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. Further training and SpR rotation Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Included 1 year as Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Orthopaedics, University College London (UCL). Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital since July 2005.
Have recently withdrawn from circuit medical team at Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit. Now kept happily busy by family and developing practice. Married with 2 daughters.
Organisations / wider responsibilities Previously Honorary Senior Lecturer, University College London.
Presently Associate Editor Orthopaedics and Trauma Specialist Collection, NHS Evidence. Trust Speciality Training Director for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
Fellowships Spent 1½yrs on the Joint Reconstruction Unit of the RNOH during training. Visited Dr Kelly Vince, Knee Unit at the University of Southern California
Published work Hand surgery, Orthopaedic Oncology. Deep vein thrombosis. Hip and Knee Arthroplasty. Hip fractures.
Essence of practice Elective and Trauma orthopaedic practice. Appointed with special interest in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty.
